    All we can say is, we wish we thought of it sooner! Aniche was started because while we were pregnant, we were very frustrated with the existing fashion choices. We hated the fact that we had to shop in a special maternity section when we were already so body conscious. It was so wasteful. These were clothes that we’d only be able to wear for a few months at most since you’re one size before pregnancy, another at 3 months, then at 6 months, again at 9 months and of course after baby comes. That’s potentially 4 different wardrobes! We found ourselves spending countless hours and way too much money shopping for styles that weren’t in the maternity section but would fit all stages of motherhood. Flattering on the bump and beyond but didn’t compromise our love for fashion. It. Was. Hard. Why couldn’t there be a women’s fashion line designed to be worn before, during and after pregnancy, that was chic and contemporary, but wouldn’t break the bank? So….we made it!

    Well, it did take a year and we each popped out a tiny human in the midst of designing, fabric selection, perfecting fit, sourcing, production, photoshoots, web design, inventory management...not to mention birthing, pumping, nursing, diaper changing, sleep training, and lots of wine and coffee... but here we are! Proof that mamas are a force to be reckoned with.

    And that’s what Aniche is all about. Confidence. Versatility. We want women to embrace pregnancy, motherhood and beyond. Feel empowered. Have go-to pieces that will make us feel on top of the world and not self-conscious about the weight we’ve gained or how our bodies have changed. We shouldn’t have to lose a sense of who we are while pregnant or after giving birth. Stare into a closet of clothes that don’t fit and feel sad. That’s the last thing we have time for!
